Brief
In an Australian first, Dreamworld wanted to create a locally-developed virtual reality (VR) experience - dubbed ‘SkyRider’ - on one of its ‘Big 9’ thrill rides, the Mick Doohan Motocoaster.
Approach
In developing the unique VR platform, Rotor collaborated with Samsung Australia and the Dreamworld Engineers to design an immersive virtual experience that synced with the movement of the Motocoaster track.
Impact
The Sky Rider Motocoaster was very well received and won a Bronze Medal at the AEAF Awards for Virtual Reality / 360
