As part of Ford’s CX initiative with Google Cloud, the project aimed to develop a tool that allows users to learn about their Ford in an immersive way.

By using their mobile phones to scan specific vehicle components, users can trigger hotspots that provide information on functionalities, replacing the need for a traditional user manual.

Approach

This cutting-edge app leverages Rotor’s and Google’s machine-learning technology to enhance customer engagement, simplify onboarding, and create an immersive learning experience for new vehicle owners.

Users can scan their vehicles with smartphones to reveal interactive hotspots that provide personalised content, including technical insights, videos, visuals, and informative text, offering a seamless and informative user experience.

Impact

The intelligent onboarding tool, currently in its POC phase, is accessible to all Ford Ranger users.

This innovative solution enhances user experience by providing an immersive, interactive way to learn about their vehicle, simplifying onboarding and improving engagement.
